A New Start for Learning :)

For me, learning is a livelong process which can improve the current situation and survive in this dynamic world. Everyday we have a chance to learn from school, part-time, and as well as life.

For every company, "customer" is most likely to be the first priority. The successful company adapts the changes in customer’s taste and demand. In the following, I will use Circle K as an example.

Which convenience shop is more familiar to you now?
7-11?
Circle K?
All of the above?

In the past, 7-11 was more popular than Circle K. Now, the popularity can not be distinguished.

In fact, Circle K has made a lot of improvement in these recent years. There were more branches. From products to image, Circle K worked hard in the advertising. To provide a fresh image to customer, Circle K added different elements to the business, e.g. the spokesperson (Sammy), the diversified snacks, the trendy gifts, etc. Circle K also focused more on the customer service. “O K 歡迎你” is the greetings that you heard in the shop.

As the customers, we appreciate and welcome these efforts. As an individual, is it the time for us to think how we change to meet this changing world?

  1. I totally agree with you that learning is a livelong process. In my opinion, Circle K is better than 7-11 because there are more advertisements and promotions in Circle K in order to cater the needs of customer. Also, the sales in Circle K is very polite thus it gives a good impression to the customers!

  3. what are the stubmling blocks that coustomers could hardly change their buying behavior (e.g., prefer 7-11 more than OK shop)? Or the changes of OK shop follow too closely as those by 7-11? Thus, special features could not be distinguished.

  4. To icircuit,
Thank you for your comment and also sorry about replying late.
As a customer, service, price, accessibility and habit are some of the factors that affect our decision. The loyalty of the long-term customers may become the stumbling block to change their behaviour.
Sometimes, I also think that the change of Circle K follows closely to 7-11. But on the other hand, I also think Circle K considered about the foundation (what 7-11 has done), built upon the foundation and introduced new elements.
